Catalyst KUB-3

Application

The KUB-3 catalyst is applied for the hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane in the caprolactam production process.

Characteristics

KUB-3

The main components of the KUB-3 catalyst are Ni, NiO, and Al2O3. Nickel is the active component of the catalyst. Alumina is a structural promoter which provides the catalyst with high thermal stability and mechanical strength. The catalyst is delivered in partially reduced form. A final reduction of the catalyst is carried out in a commercial benzene hydrogenation reactor.
