Catalyst KUT

Application

The KUT nickel catalyst is designed for partial hydrogenation of edible oils and fats. Owing to its high selectivity it is used for hydrogenation of margarine oils. The catalyst can be also applied for deep hydrogenation of oils and fats for industrial purposes.

Characteristics

Active nickel mixed with diatomite is immersed in highly hydrogenated vegetable fat which constitutes a protective medium against air access. The catalyst is delivered in a granulated form.

Catalyst concentration depends on purity of the applied raw material and expected (required) hydrogenation degree. Usually it is from 0.1015 to 0.03% (as Ni).
