Fertilizers Research Institute seated in Puławy is a state research and development unit with a long lasting tradition, supervised by Ministry of Economy.

Its beginnings as Research Laboratory at United Factories of Nitrogen Compounds date back to 1935.

The scope of our activity covers:

  • Research and development works including:

    • Mineral fertilizers, feed additives, chemical inorganic products - ammonia, nitric acid, urea; organic - methanol, formaldehyde melamine; selected plastics processing - trioxane, dioxolane; chemical technology and chemical engineering;

  • Research and development works in the scope of biology science and ecology including:

    • Environmental protection, wasteless processes of technological streams purification and influence of organic and mineral fertilizers on agricultural production;

  • Tests and technical analysis:

    • Carrying out tests, measurements, chemical analysis of composition and purity of water, air, analysis of potential sources of pollution and contamination caused by fertilizers, sewage and smoke;

  • Research and implementation works:

    • Production and use of mineral fertilizers (liquid and suspended fertilizers and their influence on natural environment, catalysts, sorbents, plant extracts (hop extracts);

  • Experiment Production:

    • Mineral fertilizers (micro-element concentrates INSOL, suspension fertilizers NP, PK, NPK), catalysts, sorbents, catalyst support, ceramic balls, hop extract, formalin, research apparatus - gradientless reactors.
