At the Belgian and International Trade Fair for Technological Innovation Eureka! 2009 in Brussels, INS was awarded three medals for its inventions:

• Absorption method of carbon dioxide removal from industrial gas mixtures (authors: Janusz Cwalina, Cezary Możeński, Bożena Możeńska) - gold medal,
• Natural gas partial oxidation burner (authors: Edward Rój, Marek Dmoch) – silver medal,
• Reactor for steam reforming of natural gas (authors: Andrzej Gołębiowski, Wacław Hennel, Waldemar Wróbel) – bronze medal.
