Between 31.10 – 3.11.2019 the 71st International Trade Fair “Ideas-Inventions-New products –IENA 2019” took place in Nuremberg.

ŁUKASIEWICZ – INS presented two inventions awarded by the jury with the following prizes:

  • Silver medal for the invention A modified zinc-aluminum catalyst for WGS reaction and the method of its obtaining (authors: Katarzyna Antoniak-Jurak, Paweł Kowalik, Kamila Michalska, Wiesław Próchniak);
  • Special prize awarded by Taiwan Prominent Inventor League for the invention A preparation with antifungal properties for plant protection (authors from Łukasiewicz – INS: Katarzyna Tyśkiewicz, Edward Rój, Marcin Konkol, Rafał Wiejak; from UMCS: Renata Tyśkiewicz, Jolanta Jaroszuk-Ściseł, Małgorzata Majewska, Ewa Ozimek, Anna Słomka, Artur Nowak)

The iENA trade fair is one of the oldest and biggest invention exhibitions in Europe and in the world. The first of such exhibitions took place in 1948. This year’s event presented over 800 ideas from 30 different countries and was attended by 12 000 people.
